Your Hormones
Tell a Full Story.

Hormone therapy is sold two ways — as a quick fix for aging, or as a shortcut to feeling younger. Neither respects how the system actually works. Your hormones are connected, individual, and worth taking the time to understand. This is what optimization really involves, and what responsible care around it looks like.

Hormones are chemical messengers that regulate energy, mood, sleep, metabolism, libido, and much of how you feel day to day. They work as a connected system, not as isolated numbers — which is why a single value on a lab report rarely tells the whole story. Levels shift with age, stress, and health, and symptoms like fatigue, low drive, poor sleep, or mental fog can have several causes. Hormone optimization aims to bring the system into a healthier range for you — read in context, not against a generic chart. It is not an anti-aging cure, and it is not a shortcut.

That context is where hormone care most often falls short. A single blood draw, a standardized dose, and a prescription with no one watching the numbers afterward. Treatment aimed at one hormone while ignoring the system around it. No baseline done properly, no monitoring, no one to call. At PainterMed, hormone optimization begins with an evaluation by Michael Painter, MMS, PA-C — your history, your symptoms, your labs read in full context. Understanding all of this combined with knowing your goals allows for a personalized protocol to be set in motion with scheduled monitoring, and adjustments as your body responds.

Optimization is a process,
not a prescription.

It starts with an evaluation, not an order form. Michael Painter, MMS, PA-C reviews your medical history, current medications, symptoms, and goals — and reviews your labs before anything is prescribed. From that, he designs your protocol: an approach matched to your body and your numbers, not a standardized dose applied to everyone.

Then the part most programs skip: follow-up. Scheduled monitoring to review your labs and how you’re feeling, address any effects, and adjust your protocol as your body responds. Between visits, you have direct access to your clinician.

At PainterMed you’re never just a number.

Treatment is prescribed only after evaluation by a licensed clinician. If a prescription is appropriate, it is sent to a licensed dispensing pharmacy, which prepares the medication and ships it to you. Reorders are managed through scheduled follow-up evaluations and are never automatically renewed.

Peptide therapy is prescribed only when clinically appropriate, after a full patient evaluation.
Safety Info: Peptide and compounded therapies carry risks and are not appropriate for everyone. They are not FDA-approved or reviewed for safety before marketing, and a consult determines whether any protocol is right for you.

Balance is Built, Not Switched On.

Your protocol is created by one clinician who knows your case inside and out.

Individual experiences vary. Every protocol decision is made through clinical evaluation.

THE EARLY SESSIONS

Protocols often begin at a measured pace while your body settles in. Some people notice a difference early; others build gradually — both are normal. Your first follow-up reviews how you're responding and whether anything should change.

AS YOU RESPOND

Adjustments happen when your response supports them, not on a preset schedule. At each check-in, Michael reviews how you're feeling, how you're tolerating the protocol, and whether it should hold, adjust, or pause.

Your Health History Leads The Way.

Good hormone care starts with understanding you — your history, your bloodwork, your goals, and how you actually feel. Michael takes the time to review all of it before designing your protocol, so your plan is built on a full picture and you know exactly why it’s right for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Hormone optimization is medical care that helps bring key hormones into a healthier range for you, guided by your labs and how you feel. It treats your hormones as a connected system rather than a single number, which is why it works best with clinical evaluation, a personalized protocol, and ongoing monitoring.

Common signs include fatigue, low libido, poor sleep, mood changes, mental fog, and shifts in weight or strength. These symptoms can have several causes, so they point towards an evaluation, not a diagnosis. Bloodwork read in full context is what tells you whether hormones are actually the factor.

At PainterMed, it starts with a telemedicine evaluation available to eligible patients across Florida. Michael Painter, MMS, PA-C reviews your history, your bloodwork, and your goals, then designs a protocol if the therapy is right for you. No in-office visit is required to begin.

For the right patient and with proper monitoring, hormone therapy is well-established medicine. Safety comes from the process surrounding it: a full history, baseline bloodwork, screening for conditions that make it inappropriate, and scheduled follow-up. That oversight is exactly what separates careful hormone care from a one-size prescription.

HRT (hormone replacement therapy) is a broad term for restoring hormones that have declined or fallen out of balance. TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) refers specifically to optimizing testosterone. Both aim to bring levels into a healthy range for you — and both should be guided by labs, evaluation, and monitoring rather than a fixed protocol.

It varies. Hormone optimization works gradually as your levels move toward a healthier range, and how quickly you notice a difference differs from person to person. Rather than promising a timeline, PainterMed reviews your labs and how you feel at scheduled follow-ups and adjusts your protocol from there.

A real medical evaluation: your history, current medications, symptoms, and goals — reviewed directly with Michael Painter, MMS, PA-C, alongside your bloodwork. You’ll leave understanding whether hormone therapy is right for you and what your protocol would involve. It’s an evaluation, not a sales call.

Many hormone clinics run on a standardized protocol: one dose, one plan, little follow-up. PainterMed is built around you — a founder-led evaluation, labs read in full context, a protocol designed for your body, and direct access to your clinician between visits. You’re a patient here, not a subscription.
